Goods Inwards / Despatch Operative

Location: Bradford

The Role

  • To receive, unpack and check in product
  • To ensure efficient storage of received goods
  • To pack orders and despatch to customers and to other Thorite branches
  • To work with the NDC team to make process improvements
  • To operate a counter balance FLT to load and unload vehicles
  • To drive the Company Van as required
  • To maintain a clean and tidy work place

About You

  • You must have experience in a warehouse environment
  • You must have good administration skills
  • You must be computer literate
  • You must be a certified FLT driver
  • You must have a full driving licence
  • You must be able to communicate well with work colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • You must have great attention to detail
  • You must be a good team player

Capital Equipment Sales Engineer

Location: West Yorkshire

The Role

  • To manage the sale of Capital Equipment in your Geographical area
  • To retain current business
  • To increase profitability
  • To develop new business and customers
  • To develop successful partnerships which add value to both the customer and Thorite
  • To prepare quotations and present these to customers
  • To provide technical and commercial advise to customers

About You

  • You must be commercially aware with the ability to build and maintain successful commercial relationships with our key customers
  • Ideally you must have a background in pneumatics, compressed air or process equipment or sales
  • You must be a dynamic individual with enthusiasm, team spirit, and the drive to be successful
  • You must be a great manager of your own time and have a flexible approach to an ever changing day
  • You must be able to identify and solve problems, giving recommendations to our customers

Location: Bradford

The Role

  • Developing business relationships by providing a team approach to customers
  • Liaising as necessary with all departments, in particular Field Sales, Head Office - which includes the National Distribution Centre
  • Expedite and progress orders and enquiries working closely with product suppliers and the NDC
  • Produce and follow up customer quotations as requested
  • Customer visits as appropriate to support or cover for Field Sales or in respect of stock management agreements

About You

  • You must be a customer-focussed team player that can think on your feet
  • You must be a good communicator who has experience of working with customers both face to face and over the telephone
  • You must have great attention to detail
  • You must be a finisher, who always sees the job through to a sale
  • Experience in Pneumatics, although ideal, is not essential as full training will be provided
  • A driving licence would be advantageous as you may be required to go to other branches and to customer sites
