The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund provides an attractive and accessible support package to help small and medium sized companies in England, Wales and Scotland identify energy saving opportunities and install energy efficient equipment in their business.

thorite carbon trustAs a Carbon Trust Accredited Supplier, we are able to deliver energy saving projects which could be part-funded through the Capital Contributions available.

* The Capital Contribution is a non-repayable contribution of up to £5,000 or 15% of the total project cost from the Green Business Fund to our customers.

This support is available for a limited period on a first come, first served basis and only when using a Carbon Trust Accredited Supplier.

We are an accredited supplier in recognition as a high quality Distributor and Service Agent for compressed air, pneumatics and process equipment including service, installation and piping.


Green Business Fund Application Process

Check eligibility

  • The Green Business Fund is available to businesses in England, Scotland and Wales
  • The Green Business Fund is available to SMEs. An SME is defined as meeting two of the following three criteria:
    • No more than 250 employees
    • Annual turnover does not exceed £25.9 million; or
    • Annual balance sheet total assets do not exceed £12.9 million
  • And not more than 25% of shares or voting rights owned by an entity which does not meet at least two of these criteria

Collect supplier proposals

Apply online

  • Apply for a Capital Contribution from the Green Business Fund via their website: Carbon Trust Application

Contract and implement project

  • Once in receipt of your Capital Contribution offer, place the order with Thorite and implement the project.

Receive Capital Contribution

  • Applicant to provide Carbon Trust with a photo of the new equipment installed at your site, a copy of the final supplier invoice and a commissioning certificate. Carbon Trust can then transfer the Capital Contribution to you.
