Thorite hosts inaugural Northern Fluid Power Exhibition

Monday 16th May 2005

More than 22 major international manufacturers were represented at the first Northern Fluid Power Exhibition, held over two days at Odsal Stadium's Coral Suite, Bradford, hosted by compressed air and fluid process systems specialists, Thorite.

Exhibitors included ACE, ARO, Compair, CP Desoutter, HPC, Hydrovane and IMI Norgren. The event was created to showcase new product developments and examine significant manufacturing issues, including the improvement of production and communication, downtime reduction, health and safety legislation and energy-efficient capital equipment purchase assistance, through the Carbon Trust.

Visitors were able to not only view the latest fluid power machinery and systems, but also attend a series of seminars on Carbon Trust interest-free loans, Fieldbus technology, ATEX and Hand and Arm Vibration legislation.

Speaking immediately after the exhibition, Ross Gowler, Thorite’s Marketing Director said: "We are delighted that the first Fluid Power Exhibition has proved so popular with visitors and manufacturers alike. There is an obvious need for an event which concentrates exclusively on this sector of the UK's manufacturing and process industries and we are confident that Fluid Power will establish itself in the annual exhibition calendar."

Comprehensive product information from all exhibitors is available on the Thorite website. For full details of the interest free loans available from the Carbon Trust, please contact Ross Gowler direct on 01274 663471.
