  • Thorite's large cylinders can take the heat!

    The north's leading compressed air and fluid process equipment and systems supplier, Thorite, has been selected by boiler manufacturer TEI Greens Overseas Ltd, of Wakefield, to provide large bore cylinders as part of the current major retro-fit contract within a Central American power generation plant.

    Thorite has supplied a number of Norgren large bore pneumatic cylinders, each of 200mm bore x 320mm stroke, which are used to actuate the gas control damper system on boilers in the power generation plant, enabling the operator to modulate steam output levels if required.

    Double BCAS Certificate Awards at Thorite

    Two service department staff at leading compressed air and fluid process systems specialist, Thorite, have been awarded the British Compressed Air Society's (BCAS) Certificate in Compressed Air Technology.

    Laura Jubb has been Thorite's Service Department Administrator for the past six years and Tracy Meskaldji has two years experience as her assistant at the company's Bradford head office.

  • Thorite's musical sales appointment

    Thorite, the north of England's leading supplier of pneumatic and fluid process control equipment and systems, has appointed Kenneth Ferguson (44) to the position of Sales Administrator at its Bradford head office.

    Formerly a professional musician, playing the tuba with many London orchestras and local brass bands, Kenneth joined Thorite in early 2005 and spent 15 months in the company's despatch department.

  • Thorite broadens Clive's responsibilities

    Bradford-based compressed air and fluid process systems specialists, Thorite, has appointed Clive Halliday (39) to be responsible for sales of steam and vacuum system products and consumables.

    Clive is Thorite's Process and Instrumentation Manager and has been employed by the company since 1989, when he began his career as a Technical Sales Representative.
