Duncan's dilligence delivers diploma

Tuesday 7th November 2006

Following six months of intensive study Duncan Holmes (42), Service Manager for compressed air equipment and systems specialists Thorite, has gained British Compressed Air Society's (BCAS) DipCAM© qualification.

The Diploma in Compressed Air Management is a distance learning course, covering ten individual modules, which aims to provide a comprehensive technical knowledge of the principles of compressed air systems operation.

Duncan, who has worked at Thorite's Bradford head office for 22 years, is confident that the qualification is already enabling him to provide more informed advice and a higher standard of service to Thorite customers.

Speaking of the benefits he has gained, Duncan said: "A better understanding of compressed air system components, installation and maintenance issues, plus the compliance requirements of current UK and EU legislation means I can make informed decisions on the selection of equipment which will perform best in our customers' systems. These days there is no substitute for technical knowledge and I'm delighted to have the advantages of the BCAS Diploma behind me."
