  • Affordable, super-quiet compressors for shops

    Leading compressed air products and systems specialist, Thorite, has launched 2 new super-quiet air compressors from Whispair, which are ideal for retail use.

    A variety of high street outlets require compressed air, but it must be produced as quietly as possible in locations such as heel bars (for pneumatic staple guns) and picture framers (to power underpinners).

    Leading compressed air products and systems specialist, Thorite, announces two products which are ideal for use in schools and colleges.

    The Jun-air range of ultra quiet air compressors is perfect for use in teaching situations. The oil-lubricated line up of compressors features models with outputs from 0.13kW (0.18hp) up to 2.03kW (2.76hp) and receiver sizes up to 150 litres capacity. Where the compressed air is required to be absolutely containment free the Jun-Air oil-less range runs from 0.24kW (0.33hp) to 2.94kW (4.0hp), with receiver capacities again up to 150 litres.

    Two product managers from leading compressed air products and process system specialist, Thorite, have recently returned from a four day intensive training course in Sweden, as guests of PIAB.

    Process Equipment product manager, Clive Halliday and Pneumatics, Systems and Control Panel product manager, Max Crosland, enjoyed their stay in Stockholm at PIAB's worldwide headquarters, learning more about vacuum pump and conveying technology, with each being presented with a diploma at the end of the course.
