Phillip Whittleston a Capital Equipment Sales Co-Ordinator at Thorite, the UK's biggest compressed air products and process systems distributor, has successfully completed the BCAS Diploma in Compressed Air Management distance learning course and successfully passed the final examination.

BCAS (British Compressed Air Society Ltd) represents manufacturers and distributors of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied products and runs the DipCAM course with the aim of equipping industrial managers with the knowledge to make effective decisions on a range of compressed air issues.

The course covers a variety of useful aspects, including understanding compressed air as a power medium, emphasising safe working practices and implementing energy efficient technology.  The selection of products to comply with legislation and ensuring installation, use and maintenance techniques are safe, effective and conform with current industry best practices are also covered.

Phillip (33) who lives in Low Moor, Bradford and has been with Thorite since leaving school, received his diploma at the company's Bradford head office from Managing Director Stephen Wright, who said: "I'm delighted that Phillip has gained his DipCAM diploma and has demonstrated both the dedication and commitment to complete the course and exam.  I'm confident that the knowledge gained through this experience will enable him to offer a truly professional service to Thorite's customers, which has got to be everyone's ultimate benefit."
