New Air Tool Champions take service into a different league

Monday 8th July 2013

Ten Air Tool Product Champions, on for each of Thorite's regional pneumatic products Sales and Service Centres, have now completed training at the company's recently opened new Training Suite.

These key personnel will now be the first point of contact for any air tool enquiry coming into each Sales and Service Centre in Yorkshire, Lancashire, the North East, and West Midlands, ensuring that customers receive the best in service, product knowledge and advice relating to specific areas including operational features, compressed air requirements, potential applications, relevant markets and industries, legislation and safety.

  • Within the Yorkshire sales area Kingsley Moore will be in place in Bradford, Ross Bircumshaw in Doncaster, Ian Wood in Huddersfield, Paul Walker in Leeds, and David Bray in Sheffield
  • Within the Lancashire sales area Bob Cookson will be in place in Blackburn, Sam Knight in Bolton, and Luke Jefferies in Rochdale
  • Within the North East sales area Gary Bewick will be in place in Thorite's North Shields Sales and Service Centre, which trades as Hogg pneumatic solutions
  • Within the West Midlands sales area Steve Lawrence will be in place in Thorite's Brierley Hill Sales and Service Centre, which trades as LL Fluid Power

Each Air Tool Product Champion will be able to provide customers with live operation of any type of air tool. The Product Champions will be supported by Thorite's dedicated field sales Air Tools Product Champion Allan Heffernan, who will provide on-site customer contact, liaison and demonstrations.

The inception of providing an in-house Product Champion at every regional Sales and Service Centre is part of a strategy to provide the highest standards of air tool customer service throughout Thorite's areas of operation.

Speaking at the completion of the inaugural training course Ross Gowler, Thorite's Marketing and Engineering Services Director, said: "These ten Product Champions are going to be very much in demand to provide their wide range understanding of air tools to any customer who requires their specialist advice. As ongoing training continues each of our Air Tool Champions will become fully versed in ensuring that customers only select the most appropriate tools for their requirements."
