Thorite has been a member of the society for nearly 50 years and through our membership have the following aims:
Founded in 1930 at the instigation of the British Government the British Compressed Air Society is the only UK Technical Trade Association open to manufacturers, distributors and end users of compressed air products, portable air compressors and services. The Society actively represents the interests of members and the compressed air industry to United Kingdom Government, European and overseas Institutions.
Thorite is signed up to the BCAS Member Code of Conduct.
Thorite and EEF are dedicated to the future of manufacturing which is responsible for half of UK exports. This helps the UK maintain its position as the world's ninth largest manufacturing nation.
Thorite is a fully active member of the EEF both at regional and national level. A modern, competitive and innovative manufacturing industry is central to the UK's economic future and the partnership off Thorite and EEF supports manufacturing businesses evolve, innovate and compete in a fast-changing world. Compressed air, often referred to as the 4th utility, is the life blood of low cost manufacturing and can have a significant bearing on business costs and efficiencies.
