Monday 6th July 2020 was another significant day in Thorite’s history as the keys were officially handed over to the principal contractor for building work to commence at the new company headquarters, located on Hillam Road, off Canal Road, central Bradford.
The new development will combine Thorite’s main value-added services together under one roof, having outgrown the existing home of 50 years in the Laisterdyke area of Bradford.
The new 40,000 sq.ft site more than doubles the size of the current facility, meaning that Thorite’s Bradford Sales and Service Centre, Aftermarket Service, Systems design, Training academy, and National Distribution Centre will all be combined on one site, giving customers a complete one-stop-shop experience and even greater choice for all their pneumatic, hydraulic and fluid power needs.
There will be a brand-new Sales and Service Centre showroom and trade counter, built alongside a new product showcase area, to demonstrate the extensive ongoing new product launches that Thorite’s 70 global supply partners regularly collaborate on.
In 2019 Thorite had a turnover of almost £20 million, but with ambitious future growth plans, this move gives Thorite a great foundation for continued success.
