Compressed air and fluid process systems specialists, Thorite, have launched a new range of refrigeration dryers which are said to offer outstanding performance in the production of clean, high quality compressed air supplies.
The new dryers, sold under the Kaeser TAH-TCH Series brand, are designed to be integrated into compressed air systems utilising compressors from a wide range of manufacturers.
Compressed air needs to be dried, as atmospheric air drawn into compressors carries a large amount of water vapour. When the air is cooled its capacity to hold moisture reduces, causing excess water vapour to condense.
As the air cools further, significant amounts of condensate can accumulate in the air distribution pipe work and at take-off points. Thus additional drying is essential to avoid production downtime and interruptions, as well as reducing maintenance and repair work - refrigeration drying provides the ideal solution to these problems.
The TAH-TCH Series dryers feature hot gas bypass systems, highly efficient refrigeration circuits and electronic condensate drains that operate without pressure loss. Both the heat exchanger and independent condensate separator are constructed from stainless steel, for resistance to corrosion and contamination.
Full details of these new dryers are available from the Thorite website, from any of the company's nine branches, or their National Distribution Centre - freephone 0800 034 5850.
