Thorite support Bradford Manufacturing Week 2020

Thorite were delighted to recently take part in Bradford Manufacturing Week 2020.

Now in its third year, the initiative, designed to connect the city’s manufacturers, schools and young people, took place online due to the current coronavirus restrictions.  Nevertheless, Thorite, along with a number of other Bradford based manufacturers, many of whom are also customers, were keen to again get involved.

The company's involvement consisted of two events. Firstly, a virtual talk with a number of our staff members from the Sales, Service and Technical Solutions departments.  The talks centered around how they have progressed through the business, including the apprenticeship path.  This was wrapped into a presentation by Marketing Manager Phil Cullen and HR Manager Paul Ritter who also both sat in on a Teams event with the participating schools.

Secondly, Managing Director Stephen Wright took part in the last of a series of Manufacturer’s Live events, talking about how manufacturing businesses in Bradford fit into skills paths for students.
